JOURNEYS Inc CPS

Today there are nearly 500 Pueblo children living in foster care. In spite of their large number, most foster kids feel alone, isolated, and stigmatized.

Kommon Ground's mission is to provide information, encouragement, motivation, and education for all foster youth. The Kommon Ground website offers foster youth a forum to ask questions and get answers. Many foster youth discover that they are not alone in their journey. They express common thoughts, concerns, questions and situations with other youth. Foster youth are able to share opinions about their foster care experience, find community resources, enter our contests and more!

That's how many children are abused and neglected each year in Colorado

People like you can make a difference!!!

Your contribution will go toward enhancing the Kommon Ground website in order to benefit all foster youth, help provide emotional support to foster youth, and provide basic necessities to help foster youth feel a commonality with their peers.

Kommon Ground is able to distribute new clothes, school supplies, and so much more to local foster kids because of your generosity.

Of course, direct financial support keeps Kommon Ground fulfilling its mission—but it's donations that keep our kids clothed.

We hope you'll join us in providing this opportunity to foster kids by donating to Kommon Ground. We hope you'll join us in providing this opportunity to foster kids by donating to Kommon Ground.

A message from Pueblo's Chief of Police:

"In my capacity as the Chief of Police for the City of Pueblo, I am acutely aware of the need for proactive and positive resources for pueblo's foster care youth.  The 'Kommon Ground' website is all encompassing and unique to pueblo's foster youth - as it addresses not only  prevention and postvention issues, but intervention as well.

Youth receive valuable information regarding their rights as crime victims, criminal justice education, immediate 24/7 accessibility, crisis intervention, local resources and community referrals as well as support services from the professional staff at JOURNEYS, INC."

- Jim Billings, Pueblo Chief of Police
